About your job
In this position, your mission is to provide and support systems and methods for the manufacturing preparation process, with the goal to develop new technology and methods to improve and fasten the production preparation phase. You drive increased efficiency and performance at tools production. Also, to secure and strive for standardized way of working within standard and customized tools production units.

Preferably, you’re based in Sandviken or Gimo, although other locations can be an option. We offer a hybrid work setup with a mix of office and remote work and some travel is included in the job.
Your profile
We’re looking for an experienced Java Developer with a background in CAD/CAM systems and a focus on supporting a custom build system for our tools production. You’re proficient in utilizing Eclipse IDE to design and implement a domain specific language (DSL) and enhancing the efficiency of the preparation and manufacturing process. Preferably you also have knowledge of NC programming. Since the position is global, you need to be able to communicate fluently in English and you see it as an exciting challenge to travel to support our various production units around the world.
In addition to your background being crucial, we are just as passionate about your personality. You’re analytical and interested in exploring new ways of working. Based on facts, you easily suggest solutions for our production units to create correct and good information. As a pioneer in working with new technologies and in evaluating what we implement next, you need to have a forward-thinking mindset, a keen ability to adapt to emerging trends, and a passion for continuous learning. Furthermore, you have a willingness to perform and navigate with concrete communication among your coworkers, as well as being a true team player with a creative mindset.
