Your responsibilities

We’re now looking for a Business Developer to support Uniper in driving the energy transition to the next level. As a Business Development Manager at Uniper, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a developing and challenging key position in a modern, forward-thinking, and expanding company. You will be responsible for conducting and managing the Nordics (today mainly Sweden) business developments project portfolio. The energy markets are moving in a fast pace and Uniper needs to draw synergies from our project portfolio. The work entails mobilizing departments, collecting, and analyzing data on a pipeline level and presenting findings and suggestions for improvement to the CEO and Head of Business Development Nordics. Uniper’s Nordic Business Development team consists of five colleagues and are expanding to eight, working close to several departments within the organization. Uniper belongs to the parent company Sydkraft AB with offices in Malmö and Stockholm. Traveling will occur on a regular basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing strategy implementations, business development pipeline and find synergies

• Lead business development processes internally and develop, participate & facilitate strategic and tactical workshops focusing on strategy implementation or market outlook

• Manage Nordic business project pipeline overview (project timelines, stage gate status and escalate joint project challenges)

• Coordinate Nordic business internally and aggregate insights to exploit synergies and escalate cross-functional or project challenges

• Communicate, visualize and present the Uniper business pipeline to several internal and external stakeholders depending on the purpose

• Gather qualitative and quantitative project data that can be analyzed on a pipeline level (i.e., CAPEX, OPEX, staffing etc.)

• Analyze and synthesize data to showcase aggregated findings, which could be used as basis for senior management decisions if necessary

• Customer relationship management: Coordinating sales activities between departments addressing the Nordic market

• Coordinate, identify, attend and co-create external and internal events, networking platform such as business conferences and associations etc.

• Be part of taking first contact and assessment of potential business leads and partners

Your profile

You probably have a master’s degree in a relevant subject such as Engineering, Business Administration or similar. You have 5+ years’ experience within business development and have knowledge concerning strategical and tactical development, and implementation and sales pipeline management. Preferably you have experience from management consulting or similar roles. You work with a flexible approach and have a track record of driving commercial as well as technical projects in the energy sector. You have a strong business acumen and the ability to see the bigger picture. You have experience and good understanding of the energy transition, business development and stakeholder management. As we work in an international environment, you need to be fluent in both Swedish and English written as well as spoken.

The role spans between working in commercial details of early business leads to presenting investment opportunities for executive colleagues. To be successful in this role you need a strong commercial mindset. You have integrity, work proactively, and have great communication skills. You are used to a high degree of self-management and taking own initiatives. You have the self-drive and motivation to work on your own as well as a part of a wider team. You appreciate meeting people and are good at building trustful relationships with potential customers.
