Automation Engineer

Website 0180 Sandvik Group IT AB

Job Description:

Are you ready to embark on a journey in a truly product-led organization? At Sandvik Group IT we’ve recently switched to a new way of working to enhance our operational efficiency and elevate our service to delivery to new heights.

Joining us, you get to be part of a competent team providing support in the Network Services Product Area as our new Automation Engineer. We’re excited to meet you!

Your mission

In this role, you lead and coordinate the automation development for all products in the Network Services. You analyze and propose automation use cases in existing solution architecture and investigate emerging technologies and assess their viability for machine learning, AI and automation.

Aligned with the technology director for our Product Area, you develop and anchor a technology roadmap for machine learning and automation. In collaboration with all product teams, you create feasible automations that meet business needs and expectations, and you continuously interact with stakeholders to understand their needs and contexts. All in all, your mission is about evaluating our possibilities for automation in existing services and products and driving the new way of working to increase automation in our services.

The location for this position is at our site Gasverket in Stockholm. We offer a hybrid work solution with a mix of office and remote work.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with knowledge of network infrastructure, including SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN and Zero trust technologies. You have in-depth knowledge of automation platforms – preferably Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet or Netcool – and extensive expertise in IT communication for applications, services and cloud solutions. We believe that your knowledge is backed by a relevant university degree within IT or equivalent experience gained from work. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent English skills, verbally and in writing. Knowledge in Swedish is considered a plus.

With your effective communication skills, you easily transmit complex technical concepts to a non-IT-technical audience. You’re business oriented and have an analytical mindset, tools that help you create an overall view and at the same time spot the important details. Being a true team player you’re a firm believer of sharing best practices.

Our culture

At Sandvik, we’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial. We believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. So, we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences. Visit our , or to get to know us further.
