We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the team on a full-time basis, for a fixed term of 12 months.
About Protas
Protas is an independent not-for-profit organisation, designing and delivering large, global randomized clinical trials of treatments for common and other life-threatening diseases. Protas is led by the epidemiologist and physician, Professor Sir Martin Landray, who has over 20 years’ experience of leading large, randomized clinical trials as part of a team at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Population Health. Most recently, he has been co-leading the landmark RECOVERY clinical trial into treatments for COVID-19 which identified that treatment with the inexpensive steroid drug dexamethasone, improved the chances of survival for the most severe cases. About the role
As a Business Analyst at Protas, you’ll work within the Product Team to identify, capture and prioritise requirements for Protas’ Clinical Trials Management Platform (Cantata). You’ll serve as a primary liaison between Protas Partners, Subject Matter Experts and the platform development teams, ensuring platform and regulatory requirements are understood, captured, and documented in a manner facilitating development and validation.
You will lead workshops and requirements gathering sessions, maintaining and evolving requirements documents, business process diagrams, state diagrams, wire frames and entity models. You will also formulate and review Epics and User Stories as needed, ensuring requirements, Epics and User Stories are testable and facilitate fast cycle times from definition to deployment, as well as ensuring traceability from requirement to deployment.
About You
You will have broad experience as a business analyst. Ideally you will have worked with development teams and suppliers working to DevOps and agile practices, as well as have a good understanding of software development and delivery processes. You will have experience in maintaining requirements documentation meeting regulatory requirements in an agile environment. You’ll also have experience working with regulators and / or auditors demonstrating that development and validation approaches and systems meet regulatory requirements. You’re someone with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills and you can build and maintain productive relationships with diverse and stakeholders as well as technology teams.
Finally, you will have experience in working with third-party geographically distributed teams.

We are currently a primarily remote working organisation however there are expectations for travel for attendance at meetings, the frequency of which vary by role and team. We welcome applications from locations across the UK (applicants must have the right to work in the UK).

Salary: £65,500 per annum.
