AI Architect – Agentic Systems (Senior IC)

Location: Europe (Remote-first | Hubs across Northern & Western Europe)

Salary: Up to €130,000

My client is a fast-scaling European technology business delivering enterprise-grade platforms used by complex, global organisations. Following continued growth and strategic expansion, they are investing heavily in next-generation AI capabilities across their product suite.

This is a high-impact, greenfield opportunity to shape how Agentic AI is architected, adopted, and scaled across an entire organisation. You will be a Senior Individual Contributor (IC) role sitting within the CPO organisation, acting as the go-to authority on Agentic AI architecture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Define and evolve the Agentic AI reference architecture (orchestration, memory, tool usage, reasoning, multi-agent systems)
• Evaluate emerging agentic frameworks, LLMs, and tooling, making clear build vs buy decisions
• Design and deliver proof-of-concepts that translate cutting-edge AI into real product value
• Establish architectural guardrails, reusable patterns, and engineering standards
• Build and maintain an internal AI Technology Radar, turning market developments into actionable insight
• Lead internal education programmes, workshops, and hands-on labs across engineering
• Create playbooks, ADRs, and documentation to support autonomous team adoption
• Coach engineers and teams in day-to-day work, embedding agentic thinking across the organisation
• Support M&A technology due diligence and define post-acquisition AI integration frameworks
• Partner with platform and infrastructure teams on scalability, observability, and cost efficiency

What They’re Looking For

• ~10+ years in software engineering, including architecture-level ownership
• 2+ years working with LLMs, agentic systems, or AI orchestration frameworks
• Strong experience designing multi-agent systems (not just deploying models)
• Deep understanding of:
• Tool usage & agent orchestration
• Memory systems, planning & reasoning
• RAG pipelines & embedding strategies
• Strong coding background (ideally full-stack) with experience taking products from idea → production
• Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, vector databases, and MLOps workflows
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
